What sets the refurbished 2013 Ford Taurus apart from others is its unique styling along with a sportier look. Available in SE, SEL, Limited and SHO, the prices start at $26,700 MSRP and can go up to $39,300.

    Exterior and interiors Detail

On the outside, you will find very slight differences. The hood is lumpier with a
trapezoidal grille. The interiors of 2013 Ford Taurus are spacious and one can fit in 20.1 cubic feet of cargo in the trunk. With soft-touch materials and cloth covered roof pillars, you will love those new cushions. An innovative steering wheel design gives the car a neat look. As for the technology features, you get MyFord Touch technology, MyFord Touch technology and Sony audio system. There are heated and ventilated front seats, keyless entry, power rear window sunshade and push-button start. There are bigger wheels and better performance tires and brakes in 2013 Taurus.

    Engine and Performance Quality

Under the hood, you find a 3.5-liter V-6 engine rated at 6,500 rpm and 288 horsepower. You get a 254 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,000 rpm. The turbocharged, direct-injected2.0-liter EcoBoost 4-cylinder engine however is elective for its trims, and offers 240 horsepower at 5,500 rpm. In all Taurus models, you will get a 6-speed SelectShift automatic transmission. By reducing the aerodynamic drag, the active grille shutters improve efficiency.

    Safety features

The 2013 Taurus has been declared as the Top Safety Pick by auto critics. Fitted with six air bags, four wheel-disc anti-lock brakes, traction and stability control, you can also opt for forward-collision warning and brake support.

    Pros

    Superior exterior styling
Revised four and six cylinder engines
    Enhanced fuel-efficiency
    Better handling and safety technology

    Cons

Cabin can be a little confined
Ford Touch interface can be annoying to use

Economic View of Taurus sedan 2013

The New 2013 Ford Taurus is a definitive blend of performance and refinement and offers an exceptional fuel economy. Equipped with a six-speed automatic, one can expect at least 31 mpg on the highway. This is a good vehicle for students  as it is fun to drive and gives good economy. Well the buyers have plenty of time to decide as the Ford won’t go on sale for at least a year.
